Graphic recording is the art of illustrating salient points of a discussion in real time. Graphic recording can be done in person, on large sheets of paper, or virtually. In a virtual setting, we can live-stream the illustration or share periodic updates on the image as your meeting unfolds. A discount is applied for work booked at least two months in advance. Daily rates typically range from $3,300 - 4,800 depending on the organization's size and complexity.
Set-up and breakdown for in-person engagements can take 90 minutes or more. As such, in-person engagements are billed by half-day (where meeting runtime is 3 hours or less) or full-day (any meeting over 3 hours). We offer a discount for engagements booked at least two months in advance.
Engagements that require long-distance travel will have a full-day minimum charge.
For this service, we charge by the hour with a $500 minimum.
This is when you send us a video recording of your meeting, conference, or conversation, and we create illustrations as if we were doing a live graphic recording. There is a one-hour minimum fee.
This add-on is available for virtual, asynchronous, and in-person graphic recording on an iPad or tablet.
We create illustrations and animations to illustrate complex ideas. We also design worksheets, workbooks, reports, flipbooks, and maps to enhance knowledge sharing. Most illustration work will have restrictions regarding retail distribution and commercial use. Unlimited usage rights are subject to additional fees.
$1,200 minimum
Our facilitators design purpose-driven meetings, informed by a solid background in organizational dynamics and meeting design principles, as well as years of experience in organizational and leadership development. By incorporating a mix of individual reflection, group dialogue, and creative activities, we ensure all voices are heard, and all perspectives are valued.
Half-day Minimum ($2,400)
This page is for informational purposes only. All rates listed represent the lowest range for smaller nonprofit organizations. We offer sliding-scale pricing, so larger nonprofits, philanthropies, and corporations should expect a higher fee than those shown here.

We cover a very wide spectrum of clients that include many philanthropies, organizational and change management firms, public sector community engagement initiatives, large and small businesses, corporations and nonprofits.
We also work with event production firms and marketing agencies.
Yes! However, systems change, process and adaptation are at the core of what we illustrate and uplift. (a.k.a. "Illustrating Progress.") Therefore, we typically stick to illustrations, animation, and designs to help people plan or learn something new about systems or processes.
If you have a project in mind and aren’t sure if it’s a fit, drop us a line. We'll figure out if it is a fit or connect you to someone in our incredible network of artists who might be able to help.
OF COURSE.
There are hundreds of examples of our work on the Illustrating Progress Instagram page or Flickr page. That being said, a lot of our work is done under non-disclosure agreements and so cannot be shared publicly. If you are curious if we have done work in your field, please feel free to reach out.

Several of us are based in Philadelphia, PA in the United States, but we are increasingly national and international as a team. We do most in-person work across PA, NJ, NY, and Baltimore/Washington, D.C., but we also travel to other parts of the country and world.
We all speak English fluently, and we have several members of the team who are fluent and/or proficient in Spanish.
Please drop us a line if you are curious about having us come to your next gathering.
